Established in 2021, Entropic Body Production is a Taipei-based performing arts team supported by the Taipei City Government, founded by Lin Yu-he. Lin Yu-he, the artistic director of the team, has deep roots in the performing arts and commercial entertainment industry. She has served as a choreographer and dancer for many renowned singers and bands such as A-mei, A-Lin, Tanya Chua, and 831, and has participated in numerous major concerts and award ceremonies both domestically and internationally. In addition, she has nurtured many talented next-generation performing artists.
The establishment of Entropic Body Production represents a significant leap in Lin Yu-he's dedication to creating theatrical works in the performing arts. Drawing from her own experiences, overseas internships, and connections in the arts and entertainment industry, she aims to create a dance troupe with a unique style and direction. This endeavor not only enriches Taiwan's performing arts scene, making it more diverse and internationally recognized, but also fosters more outstanding performers and creators both domestically and abroad. Ultimately, it aims to propel Taiwan's performing arts onto the international stage, enhancing its status and influence in the global arts community.
Her works shuttle between the diverse backgrounds of commercial business and independent theatrical production, imbuing them with qualities that connect abstract art with popular cultural media. She likes to create works that combine dance, theater, and live Art, as well as collaborating with artists from different disciplinaries. Her works typically originate from my own life experiences, exploring how individuals in contemporary society collectively reflect upon and discuss common issues in life.
